Twiggy sells out to Proctor & Gamble
Twiggy’s second stint as the face of Oil of Olay has generated acres of press coverage for the Proctor & Gamble brand as it makes a play for the increasingly lucrative grey pound.
Less well publicised is the anger of many animal rights activists, whose anti-P&G campaign Twiggy previously endorsed.
It appears that the belief of the world’s first supermodel ‘in clinically proven skin care products that deliver on their promises’ is a little more profound than her belief that vivisection is wrong.
All of which shows the perils of celebrity endorsement. Twiggy may be a supermodel, but she is only human and a fat cheque from P&G clearly proved far too tempting.

So has Fiona Phillips. She supports The Dr Hadwen Trust ‘ science without suffering’ yet is the new face for Olay. She has a mission statement on there saying her views against this cruelty yet goes on P & G’s payroll. Do they brain wash these celebs???
