Stephen Newton MCIPR

Stephen Newton is a freelance public relations consultant offering creative, proactive media campaigns, copywriting, issues management and crisis planning. He has worked in consultancy and in-house across a wide range of industry sectors including leisure, licensed retail, the arts, internet, technology, insurance, regulation and public affairs.

While his work has a strong bias towards media relations and marketing PR, he is most effective when given the opportunity to create genuine dialogues between clients and their publics. His approach goes well beyond press and media relations to include the strategic management of organisations’ communications, applying public relations techniques to turbo charge marketing, build reputations and manage crises.

Working out of a home based office in Manchester, England (often remotely) Stephen has drawn clients from across the UK and USA and was one the first UK public relations practitioners to obtain a post-graduate qualification in PR.
