Salford Star troubles

With the Salford Star struggling to fund its next print run, it’s tempting to suggest the magazine move online, but as as founder and editor Stephen Kingston explained to me in May 2007, its core readership have yet to embrace new media.

Recently recognised for reaching Salfordians in a language they understand (while the city council’s been singled out for gobbledygook) losing the Salford Star would a considerable blow to media diversity in the city; its is a voice that deserves to be heard.
