Blogs: too uncivilised for business?

Blogs: too uncivilised for business?

An eve of Labour Conference seminar – Political Bloggers and the New Media Landscape – has seen Norman Geras, long a leading political blogger, lead calls for greater civility within the blogosphere.

While this popular sentiment was easily endorsed by fellow panellists Bill Jones of Skipper, and the Press Gazette’s Martin Stabe, those looking to use blogs as business tools will fear that Norm’s call has fallen on deaf ears.

Norm is right to flag rudeness as a major obstacle to bloggers playing a significant role in political debate; it’s also a barrier to any business hoping to build dialogue with its stakeholders.

You spelled Norm’s name wrong. It’s Geras.

Thank you. I do feel annoyed when people give me a ‘v’, so should know better. Apologies to Norm.
