Richard Branson comes through for Virgin
Hats off to Richard Branson, whose praise for the train driver caught up in Friday’s fatal train crash helped him to strike the right tone at a time of considerable crisis for his train company.
By remaining prominent in bad times as well as good, Branson shores up his brand’s credibility and retains the trust of his publics. The contrast with Bernard Matthews hoping on a private jet to escape the bird flu crisis engulfing his business could not be greater.
